Programme Extension Centre
01.
Starting of Programme Extension Centre (PEC)
01.1 Any institution which
has an authentic status or recognition under the laws and rules of Government of
India or Government of any State can become a PEC of College for Leadership and
HRD (CLHRD), or College for FEEL Holiday Studies (CFHS) or College for Action
Research and Training (CARAT) or College for Distance and Continuing Education
(CDCE), four independent units of AIM INSIGHTS, the HRD group.
01.2 An institution can
become a PEC of one or more institutions of AIM INSIGHTS simultaneously.
01.3 The institution which is
desirous of becoming a PEC should sign an agreement with AIM INSIGHTS, the HRD
group, which is the managing body of four institutions.
01.4 The institution shall
sign an agreement for the conduct of one particular programme or any ‘FEEL’
brand programme of any of the four institutions.
01.5 As AIM INSIGHTS will be
providing intellectual property for which copyrights are reserved, for the use
of the PEC in the form of designs and materials, the institution which signs the
agreement has to deposit Rs 10,000/- towards the security of the intellectual
property that are being supplied.
01.6 The head of the
institution shall sign the agreement on behalf of the institution and shall
become the Programme Extension Centre Head or may nominate any member of the
staff to be the Centre Head for the PEC.
01.7 The Centre Head or one
of the Facilitators nominated by the Centre Head shall attend an annual
conference of the Programme Extension Centres every year to share experiences in
conducting the programme or for suggesting improvements in the conduct of
programmes.
Add-on courses
that can be offered at colleges
All two-semester courses of eight papers each, for thirty-two lecture
hours each
1. Human Resource and Personality Development
The course takes a student through non-academic and non-scholastic areas of
human resource and their conduct and expressions.
2. Individual Development Towards Effectiveness
Human effectiveness is the ultimate goal of personal effectiveness, leader
effectiveness and resource effectiveness, all of which are developable. The
student learns ways and means of becoming effective.
3. Civilised Living and Panetics
The suffering of the humans is a major concern of thinking individuals. A
wholesome society will minimise suffering. Students learn Panetics, the study of
human suffering with all its ramification to neutralise or harness violence.
4. Teaching, Training and Facilitation
A participant of this course understands strategies and methods of creating an
environment for learning and development. It also helps in identifying new
learning spaces.
5. Communication - Mind Skills, Social Skills and Language Skills
Participants develop competence to communicate. They learn mind skills, social
skills and language skills as three major skills that constitute the
communication competence.
6. Cognitive Resources and Intellectual Assemblies
Intellectual assemblies are organised in different societies and institutions.
Their methods, systems and techniques are dealt with in this programme so as to
make a participant competent to organise them.
7. Self, Values, Leadership and Influence Processes
Each individual influences the rest because of that person's self-worth which
are expressed through the principle-centredness kept by that person. The
leadership offered guarantees influence processes. A participant learns about
influence processes and their impacts.
8. NGOs and Social Influence Processes
Non Governmental Organisations influence societies through different processes.
A participant understands the importance of NGO activities and their social
needs by going through this programme.
9. Processes of Educating and Developing
Intuitive, experiential and scholastic learning processes do not stop at
educating, they also develop the individual to be resourceful. Development of
different competencies are needed for this. This programme helps students
understand the processes involved.
10. HRD Project Management
HRD project planning including drafting project proposals and project completion
reports are learnt by a participant of this programme.
11. Philosophy, Religion and Humanism
A serious programme, which deals with the essential goodness the humans and the
need of philosophy and religion to co-exist with humanism as its major value. A
participant of this programme is taken from an understanding of these concepts
to internalising them and making them one's own principles.
12. Scientific Approach and Human Development
Rationality, logicality and emotional intelligence leading to the cheerfulness
of the society resulting in creative and peaceful co-existence is the theme of
this programme. Participants learn to be scientific in their approach to human
development.
Participative
The entire course of study is designed to make it fully participative.
Opportunities for development are provided to all students equally. Even the
processes of examining are student friendly with continuous assessment systems
so much so that the examinations are over as the course comes to an end. An
interview at the end of each semester measures the competencies of the
participants.
Innovative
Strategies, Methods, Techniques and Action Plans
that are innovative lead the teacher to implement the teaching - training
processes in a manner that facilitates creative learning. Each teacher has
undergone specialised training in human resource development, which empowers him
or her to take a group of students towards participation and learning, without
using traditional methods. This helps students enjoy their participation.
