Programme Extension Centre
Madras Christian College
Madras Christian College in its vision to empower its students with competencies for employability has made many innovative interventions. One of them is its association with CLHRD and establishment of the latter’s Programme Extension Centre (PEC). CLHRD provides the Programme Extension Centre with necessary intellectual property and guidance to conduct programmes. It has designed the course, its curriculum and syllabi. This is made possible because of the availability of several consulting Facilitators in HRD from corporate organisations, NGOs, and educational institutions across the country, who function as resource consultants of CLHRD.
MCC started with ten batches of 30 each in 2004 - 2005 with ten Facilitators conducting the Personality Development Programme, whereas in 2005 - 2006 MCC has 30 batches of thirty students each and thirty trained Facilitators are conducting the programme. It is one of the most important and popular programme too, of Madras Christian College.
